McCain's new running mate

This morning while watching the Today Show (like the old lady I am,) Matt Lauer popped in with breaking news of McCain's new running mate. Wow, I do not think anyone would have guessed that McCain would choose a women as his running mate! I think this is definitally ties into the PR of his campaign. Being so much older, and "less cool" than Obama, he needed some kind of savy boost. Was choosing Sarah Palin a good PR move on his part? She is very conservative and has ranked very high in the opinion polls in Alaksa where she was the Governor.

Also, will Pailin possibly become our first women President? I hope that this doesn't come off wrong but the fact stands that McCain is really old.

I guess we will not know if this put him in a positive public light or not until the voting begins.

I thought this was an interesting picture because she is indeed very pretty. I also heard that she was runner up for Miss Alaska in her younger years!

.... Beauty Queen & VP?

I think the idea of him choosing a woman running mate is very smart. Seeing that America responded well to Hilary Clinton, McCain sees the advantage he could use by tapping into the percentage of the population that wanted a female president. Very interesting..

You're still not doing your links correctly, Lynn.

I'm interested to see how this progresses. Kudos for Republicans stepping outside the box, however, I think it's going to scare a lot of the super-righties.

I love the picture with this blog. It shows a side of Palin that i doubt many people would ever dream she has. Is this the first time a VP running mate has appeared on the cover of Vogue?
